When you own the farm, science really matters. As the only vertically-integrated hemp oil company, Functional Remedies leads the hemp industry in marrying next-gen, AgroScience technology with traditional farming techniques for a singular purpose: growing hemp with the highest levels and broadest array of phytonutrients on the planet.
Plants are fed and fueled by soil they grow in. Maintaining the balance of minerals, organisms and water in the soil that’s optimal for plant growth is challenging as it is affected by many factors, including everything from the weather to the plants themselves.
Our AgroScience team regularly collects hundreds of soil DNA samples from every plot within the entire acreage of our farm. These samples are thoroughly analyzed for mineral, nutrient and PH levels, among other things, and any deficiencies are noted at the individual sample level. This rich data is used to create actionable insights into disease detection and management.
Then, using GPS-mapping technology, we match each sample back to the specific location where it was collected. We amend the soil organically with all-natural fertilizer and minerals to perfect its composition. This pin-pointed approach to maintaining proper soil balance ensures each plant receives the specific and optimal conditions it needs to reach its full potential.
Maintaining soil balance is just one facet of ensuring our hemp plants are healthy and happy. There are variety of other factors including hydration levels, insects and troublesome weeds that must be managed to prevent plant damage. Finally, there exist a myriad of plant diseases from which the plants must be protected.
Only Functional Remedies uses advanced drone technology powered by sophisticated software and sensors to manage soil water levels and prevent insect- or weed-related damage to every individual hemp plant on our farm. Our drones are programmed to fly over each plant to measure, record and report current conditions so that all adverse conditions can be addressed using only safe, organic methods.
